O Canada

Just like the sky on the 4th of July, today too sees the day that many American folk celebrate all that is good to be a citizen of the United States of America (USA! USA! USA!). Independence day, one of the biggest holidays in the US, is chance to have a picnic, play some baseball and maybe watch some fireworks. It is essentially a day for patriotism to shine out ones ass, and to smear in everyones faces. It would then seem fitting along with Royal visit of Will and Kate, to showcase some of Canada's finest electronic talent. For too long now has the 1st of July (Canada Day) been put in the shadows of the much louder, obtrusive 4th of July. This is our way of saying we still love of you Canada.

One of Canada's most famous musical gifts to the world is Montreal born Tiga. Tiga has perhaps best has come to craft himself as a bit of a remix mystro, ranging from Danni Minogue to Boys Noize. He also founded the successful and respected Turbo Recordings in 1998 going on to raise recognition of producers such as PROXY,Brodinski and Chromeo.

Tiga's latest project working as ZZT with Zombie Nation

Dark house/disco producers Azari & III are in line to release their first album this summer. Reigning from Toronto and signed to Turbo Recordings, Azari & III have already laid the platform for success with a string of releases, encompassing a provocative mixture of dark house and uplifting disco vocals.

Another fine Canadian which I have admired over the last couple of years is electro, come tribal twist producer John Roman. The 22 year old producer from Toronto has recently released his latest EP-SALA. After the success of Reclusion John Roman has landed the support and backing of acclaimed producers such as Laidback Luke and Styles of Eye. John Roman promises to continue making headway towards the tech-house elite

Prince Club are two young dj/producers from Montreal who have also raised a certain amount of attention since starting up. Having already released two EP's, the young duo have been backed for successes by industry heavyweights and blogs a like.

I would now like to take the opportunity to thank Canada for spawning someone through which the opportunity of laughing at a child's death may be deemed acceptable. We Salute you Canada.
